Hey, The Home T
I'm excited to apply for your Graphic Designer position!
As an experienced designer, I’d love to be a part of your Design Team to create and develop amazing products and introduce even more people to The Home T.
I truly believe the world needs more positivity and humor right now, more than ever. People coming together instead of pushing apart. Your Home State t-shirts are conversation starters, that's why they are so successful and bring people together. Combine that with a charitable mission, sign me up! I’d like to be a part of that.
I have extensive experience in design, concept development, production, and even some apparel design. I’ve been employed as a Graphic Designer for over 10 years working on print and online media campaigns. I’m a focused self-starter who always meets deadlines and am passionate about my work. I work well within a team and know that communication is crucial. I take direction well and can apply feedback quickly.
As you’ll see in my portfolio below, I have worked for a variety of companies, large and small, and started my own company, Harken Press, creating letterpress products and bridal stationery. Working in the stationery industry, I've had to be ahead of trends, generate original concepts, illustrate my ideas, and make quality products that sell. But most importantly, I strive to create products that connect with people! There's no greater compliment than hearing a customer tell me how one of my designs brought some genuine joy to their day. Please see my online Shop for examples. I’m looking to make a shift and know that I can apply my skills and be the next member of The Home T family.
I'd love to speak with you on the phone and hear more about the vision for your company and how I can help take The Home T to the next level.
I appreciate your time and hope to hear from you soon.
P.S. Ryan definitely made the right decision on Shark Tank.
My Unique Advantages:
I’ve worked remotely from my home office for 6 years.
I’m a letterpress printer. I restored my 1956 Heidelberg press that weighs over 3,000 lbs. I lovingly call it “The Beast”.
My family. I want my two young daughters to see their Mom enjoying her work, being driven, continually learning and improving. “I’m not a regular Mom, I’m a cool Mom.”
Fun Facts About Me:
I was born in New Jersey, grew up in Louisiana, lived in California for 8 years, and just moved to Texas. Back in the South, hey y’all!
I love any kind of dress-up theme party, singing duets with my husband (we both sound absolutely terrible), and painting with my toddler.
I was named after an actress in the 80s that was on the TV show, One Life to Live. Real classy.
I read this job listing and immediately told my husband that I found my new job!
